Although the zipline tour is the prime attraction/best revenue stream; the Madsen family opened two lower-priced, more accessible courses primarily for the local kids. Jennifer is committed to the area (donating much to various local charities) and is active in volunteering. With over a decade raising the profile and job opportunities in Lake Country, BC, Oyama Zipline was a great choice for Business of the Year.

Business of the Year criteria included: maintaining good customer relationships, standing behind excellent products and services, promoting business through innovative strategies, and demonstrating excellence in community involvement, employment opportunities, and commitment to customer service.

With excellent correspondence, the guest services team at Oyama Zipline maintain superb customer relationships with people from around the globe.

Both Peter and Jennifer work tirelessly, mentally and physically to keep the business viable in the tough economic times. Working the entire high season with no days off is common. Winter is spent on paperwork and maintaining and improving the 72 acre property. No small feat! This dynamic duo responds quickly to daily changes in weather, fires, health mandates, etc. They design appropriately and continue to offer new exciting adventures mid-way between Kelowna and Vernon.

Make sure you drive up and check it out! The views are worth the effort and you'll be surprised to see how this business has grown.
